Wee Rock Music Festival
August 24, 2008
12:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Adams Recreation Center open field at John Adams Elementary School (Mansfield Street and Adams Avenue)

Mission for Music (M4M) in partnership with Adams Recreation Council will be hosting the Wee Rock Music Festival. The Wee Rock Music Festival is an annual free outdoor family music festival that benefits San Diego non-profit organizations. Funds raised at this year’s event will benefit ARTS.

This is the second year for the Wee Rock Music Festival. Last year’s event raised funds for Guitars in the Classroom, which in turn helped sponsor more than 25 San Diego Unified School District Teachers in attending a teacher training program held May 17th 2008 at the Abbey in Hillcrest (venue made possible by Hornblower Cruises & Events).

In addition to live music from local bands playing family-friendly originals and children's favorites, the 2008 Wee Rock Music Festival will feature food and retail vendors, as well as raffle tickets for prizes (such as musical instruments and spa packages) to be awarded during the event.

Admission is free. All patrons are advised to bring a blanket or beach chair as this will be an outdoor picnic style event.

M4M is a San Diego committee with a singular focus on bringing the universal value of music to all generations. Formed in 2007, M4M hosts events to promote local and diverse talent to a broad audience for public charities as well as educational and community coalitions. The Wee Rock Music Festival is one of many inspiring events that M4M brings to the San Diego community.
